heim — Privacy Policy

Effective July 2026

heim does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is gathered.

Everything stays on your device. Your quiet zones, your allowed-apps list, and your settings are stored locally on your iPhone — in the app's private storage, shared only with heim's own widget and shield extension on the same device, and included in your own device backups under your control.

Location. heim registers your self-defined zones with iOS's region monitoring. iOS tells heim "entered" or "exited" — heim never records, stores, or transmits your coordinates, movement history, or anything derived from them. Location data never leaves your phone.

Screen Time. App selections are handled through Apple's Family Controls framework, which provides heim with opaque tokens — heim cannot see which apps you selected, and neither can anyone else. Authorization is "individual": you, restricting your own device.

No account. No server. No analytics. No ads. No third-party code. heim has no backend and makes no network requests.
